The insurance industry is female dominated. That’s right, 59% of professionals in the sector are women. But the real gap isn’t in the workforce; it’s in leadership. Only 22% of C-suite positions are held by women. Why does this matter?  Because it’s a business imperative. Companies with gender-diverse leadership teams are 25% more likely to outperform their peers. This disparity is no longer just about the "glass ceiling.” The real culprit is what researchers call the "broken rung." This refers to the unique challenges women face in securing those critical first promotions that set the stage for future leadership.
